INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW WE USE IT

When you visit Liforia you provide us with two types of information: personal information you knowingly choose to disclose that is collected by us and Website use information collected by us as you interact with our Website.

When you use Liforia, you may set up your personal profile, form relationships, log personal events, create blog-like entries, send messages, perform searches and queries, form groups, and transmit information through various channels. We collect this information so that we can provide you the service and offer personalized features. You post User Content (as defined in the Liforia Terms of Use) on the Site at your own risk. Although we allow you to set privacy options that limit access to your pages, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. • Public Moments, Links and Connections – the core services of Liforia rely on user blog-like entries called “Moments,” Links created between Moments and Profiles (“Links”) and Connections made between Profiles (“Connections”). These Moments, Links and Connections get indexed by Liforia to provide its core services and to improve the quality of our customized content and advertising.
• Private Moments - When Moments set as Private by User, any data contained in them is excluded from indexing.
• Social sharing of data — Liforia™ allows other users to browse items you posted or commented on. Liforia™ may choose to post this data on other site features in the future.
• Profile information — Liforia™ allows other users to browse your full name, location, and instant messaging URL, within your member profile should you provide this optional information.
• Affiliated sites — We may offer some of our services in connection with other Websites. Personal information that you provide to those sites may be sent to Liforia™ in order to deliver the service. We process such information in accordance with this Policy. The affiliated sites may have different privacy practices and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
• URL’s — Liforia™ may present URL’s in a format that enables us to keep track of whether these links have been followed. We use this information to improve the quality of our services, customized content, and advertising.
• API — Liforia™ will allow 3rd parties access to all Liforia™ data that is indicated by User as Public through Liforia.com. Liforia™ will forever keep private passwords.
• Other sites — This Privacy Policy applies to Websites and services that are owned and operated by Liforia. We do not exercise control over the sites displayed as search results or links from within our various services. These other sites may place their own cookies or other files on your computer, collect data or solicit personal information from you. USE OF INFORMATION OBTAINED BY LIFORIA

When you register with Liforia, you create your own profile and privacy settings. Your profile information, as well as your name, email and photo, are displayed to people specified in your privacy settings to enable you to connect with people on Liforia. We may occasionally use your name and email address to send you notifications regarding new services offered by Liforia that we think you may find valuable.

Profile information is used by Liforia primarily to be presented back to and edited by you when you access the service and to be presented to others permitted to view that information by your privacy settings.

Profile information you submit to Liforia will be available to users of Liforia with whom you connected as friends and whom you allowed access to the information through your privacy settings. Your name and profile picture thumbnail will be available in search results across the Liforia network and those limited pieces of information may be made available to third party search engines. This is primarily so your friends can find you and send a friend request. People outside Liforia network who see your name in searches, however, will not be able to access your profile information until they register with Liforia and unless they have a relationship to you (friend, friend of friend) that allows such access based on your privacy settings.

Liforia may send you service-related announcements from time to time through the general operation of the service. For instance, if a friend sends you a new message, a link has been made to one of your Moments, or someone sends a connection requests, you may receive an email alerting you to that fact.

Generally, you may opt out of such emails, though Liforia reserves the right to send you notices about your account even if you opt out of all voluntary email notifications. Liforia may use information in your profile without identifying you as an individual to third parties. We do this for purposes such as aggregating how many people in a network like a certain book or personal growth program or speaker and personalizing advertisements and promotions so that we can provide you Liforia, but we don’t’ disclose to third parties who you are.

We may use information about you that we collect from other sources, including but not limited to newspapers and Internet sources such as blogs, instant messaging services, Liforia Platform developers and other users of Liforia, to supplement your profile. Where such information is used, we generally allow you to specify in your privacy settings that you do not want this to be done or to take other actions that limit the connection of this information to your profile.

INFORMATION SHARING

Liforia only shares personal information with other companies or individuals outside of Liforia in the following limited circumstances:

• We have your consent. We require opt-in consent for the sharing of any sensitive personal information such as address and phone number if provided in your private profile. Information provided by you in your public profile is always visible to all members.
• We provide such information to our subsidiaries, affiliated companies or other trusted businesses or persons for the purpose of processing personal information on our behalf. THIRD PARTY ADVERTISING

Advertisements that appear on Liforia are sometimes delivered (or "served") directly to users by third party advertisers. They automatically receive your IP address when this happens. These third party advertisers may also download cookies to your computer, or use other technologies such as JavaScript and "web beacons" (also known as "1x1 gifs") to measure the effectiveness of their ads and to personalize advertising content. Doing this allows the advertising network to recognize your computer each time they send you an advertisement in order to measure the effectiveness of their ads and to personalize advertising content. In this way, they may compile information about where individuals using your computer or browser saw their advertisements and determine which advertisements are clicked. INFORMATION SECURITY
